Umm...rude much?

So, I'm at the movies (Brokeback Mountain, devastating, wonderful) where I had arrived a little bit late, so the previews are playing already. I see that it is quite full (for a 1pm matinee on Wednesday) so I sit between a couple and another woman. I'm trapped in the row. As the previews begin to end, I (and many around me) notice that the door into the theatre is still open and we can hear the staff talking at the concession stand. As if that wasn't bad enough, the door was behind us so all the daylight was leaking onto the screen. Now, I get that the staff needs to talk, that is not the popint of the title of the post. No. The title of the post refers to the rather affluenent woman sitting behind me. She got up as the film began (presumably to shut the door as I would have done had I not been trapped in the row.) No, not so much. She actually got up and began snapping for one of the concession people. She snapped all the way up the aisle (well, 3 rows) and out the door until she found someone and told them to close the door.

Later, on the metro, two young girls were sitting in 2 separate seats (thus blocking 2 other seats from oncoming riders.) A woman asked one of the girls if she could sit in the seat next to her and the girl said no, leaving the empty seat trapped between herself and the window.

People.
