It's only cool when Gob does it!

Dear World,
Please stop using Europe's "The Final Countdown" in any way shape or form.

While I do agree that it is one of the most ridiculously funny songs ever written and that I love to see overweight men in showers lip-syncing to it, I do not relish the hours that the song remains in my head afterwards. Is that moment of hilarity worth the torture in the hours and days to come?

Well....maybe....maybe not.

Thank you,
Lindsey

Join the fight!

I submitted this email to my coworkers in attempt to start a revolution. Please feel free to steal and use in your own places of work!

Dear Friends,
As many of you know, a very seminal event occurs tonight at midnight. An event years in the making. The most important event in this universe. Possibly the most important event in other universes as well.

Tonight, at midnight, the final book in the Harry Potter series becomes available to all the evil people in the world who wish to spoil the ending of the book to those of us who are anxiously awaiting their copies to arrive in the big brown truck. These people seek to destroy our happiness! The happiness that comes from discovering the final bits and pieces of the Hogwarts universe on our own! In our own time! These bloggers want to ruin it for the rest of us!

So I say we fight! Let us stand together against the forces of darkness and spoilers! Together, we are stronger than the gossips and the Chatty Kathys who wish us agony as they spill the final details before we’ve hit the 784th page! Let us band together to keep fighting them until we’re sure that everyone in the office has had their chance! Let us not speak of Harry, Ron and Hermione in the halls. Let us keep mum about Hagrid and Snape! Let us speak in secret lest we pass along information to those who are still lugging the book to work to read at lunch time!

Please, join me as we fight to keep the spoilers away from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and away from our friends and colleagues. Let us agree to not speak of it here unless we are sure that we cannot be overheard by any who are still reading the tome of Potter.
I thank you for your time and your friendship and courage. Please pass this along to anyone who reads and has the ability to form sentences.
Lindsey

Could we talk about this later?

I hate it when people talk to me when I'm in the bathroom.

And especially when I'm taking a crap.
